Hopeless future? Really?!

‘These times scare me. I would NOT like to be a youngster today’ – sais my grandma every time when we talk and I tell her about what happens in my life – ‘You all have to run from one place to another. Work-university-bed-work etc.: you don’t have time to go for a walk or to sit down and read a book. And for all that effort you put into it all you cannot afford even a car!’

Everybody says today it is hard to find a good job with a full-time employment contract. Not mentioning even the earnings... Then, who can afford an appartment? ‘I am 25 years old and I think I will MAYBE buy in at the age of 50. If I will spend really little. And live a life of an ascetic. And if I will get rid of dreams about big family (children seem to be too expensive in that case)’ – claims my best friend.

So, all that effort you put into your education, all that money and time you invest to become a really smart and competent person will be wasted? Wait... I cannot believe that!

I thing the truth is that every man is the architect of his own fortune and the master of his own destiny. If you try to reach anything in your life with a negative approach that you will never succeed, you will never succeed. But if you take all the opportunities and try to use your knowlegde at work in a smart way, I am sure you will be well rewarded.

I write all that because I’m really sick of hearing all these people who say ‘I will never make a carrier because they don’t want me’. The answer is simple: make yourself so attractive that they will FIGHT to have you! Is it really so hard? I don’t thing so. It’s enough if you know something that don’t. And you’re in the game J

Inferno

Have you ever read any book written by Dan Brown? He became popular when he published “The Da Vinci Code” in which he openly claimed that Jesus had had a wife – Mary Magdalene, and a child. Despite of it he suggested, that long time ago church hid some gospels written by other companions of Jesus because they could have proved that Jesus was not God and that actually for 2000 years we have believed in something that is not even true.

A part of “The Da Vinci Code” Dan Brown wrote some other books. The last one, “Inferno”, is about an actual problem we will probably have to deal with – the overpopulation. Obviously I am not going to tell you the story, because it’s absolutely worth reading – or at least watching. But I would like to invite you to see the movie directed lately by Ron Howard.

I went to the cinema yesterday and I have to admit it was a great choice. Lots and lots of fast action, several moments of astonishment, and even if there were some details which differed from the book, the film was very good. I don’t remember when I saw a movie in the cinema and was disappointed it finished so quickly.

So if you have some time and you want to spend your time to see it, I strongly recommend that movie. But: I have to warn you. If you are afraid of blood, if you don’t like thrillers or mysteries, it is not for you :)

University

Hello there, I'm back!

After three months of holidays I really missed university. It might sound strange but it's true. This year is going to be very, very busy and very interesting. Why? Well, I will tell you.

Firstable, I have to write two master's thesis and I should graduate this year from two faculties. I know it's going to be tough, but since I am quite interested in both subjects I want to write about, I hope it will not be too boring and difficult, at least.

Secondly, we have established a new researching circle on italian philology and we are going to organise a lot of interesting events and to try to understand italians a little bit. It's scientific circle, of course, but I hope that it will be also fun.

Then, I have to work, which means I will have to prepare myself. Which takes quite a lot of time.

And finally, I'm going to practice yoga, because I felt in love with that discipline and I would like to reach positions that I can only dream about now.

Wish me luck :)
