Czestochowa

This year is very special, because every month I go to at least one interesting place. In first day of may I'm going to visit my best friend before she gives birth to her first baby. Then, I go to Leszno, where I make an interesting project in the local high school, and then, I have planned to visit my boyfriend's mom because it's hers and his sister's birthday.

It is a really busy period for me. Some days I DREAM of my bed, really. It is actually my problem: I do more than I can and then I am so tired, I am sick of school, work and everything I do. But, last summer, when I didn't do anything, I felt sick of doing nothing. I believe it's important to find equilibrium to feel good and happy. Because you have to have some time to enjoy your happiness too!

Today's is my turn to present a podcast. I chose a very interesting one from the same series that the last time: the women. Last year I discovered I am a little bit a feminist, and that I would like to get to know the women who do the work considered only for man. This time it's a war correspondent, and actually I thing she is much stronger and braver than most of the men! :)

Cracow and pizza!

Wednesday I go to Cracow for a conference. It will be big and quite interesting, and I think, everybody who is interested in Italy will find something for themselves. I am generally interested in linguistics, but there are some lectures from the domain of literature and didactics that I would like to attend. And, of course, I will attend the lecture of my friend, since I find it very interesting.

A part of a conference, we will find some time to visit the city and have some fun. Maybe it is not a typical touristic trip, but actually I visited Cracow last year and I know the old market quite well. I remember that we went there on Easter and that the weather was terrible: it rained and snowed, and it was freezing. We spent a lot of time in little cafés not to freeze to death and we went at least 4 or 5 times through the old market to find a cosy place to eat something.

I was quite surprised, because we found a very good pizzeria where we could find a pizza made by an Italian cook. It was so good that we ordered the other one. It was delicious. I would like to go there also this time :) we'll see if I find it!

New flat

We moved to a new flat and everything changed. So. Much. The standard, the quality, the way of thinking, and now I can feel good coming back home from school or work.

We have been living here for almost a week now, and still some things are missing. Last weekend we have bought already some new gadgets, like soap dish or boxes, but there are a lot of thing yet to be bought. But even those ‘trips’ to Ikea or Home&You make us pleasure. J We make lists of things we would like to have and then forget to get it with us, which ends with buying a lot of unnecessary, but cute things that ‘maybe will be useful one day’. It’s quite fun.

Now we have almost our ‘own’, little apartment and it seems as if it was a new phase of our lives. I’m sure it will take some time to get used to new smells and sounds and to get into constant habits. I have to learn how to get home from the centre, where are the markets, the post office etc. But I love changes and so I enjoy every second of my ‘new life’.

Of course, everything has also their ‘bad sides’. We still argue about the places where we would like to put books, utensils, where to keep shoes and so on. But which couple doesn’t? I believe we need two weeks and house-warming, and then everything will work out.

Conditions on the slopes

Apart of seeing beautiful mountains and peaks, we went to Folgarida to ski and snowboard, of course. It was an amazing experience for me, as the person who has never been on such big slopes. Our ski-pass let us ski and snowboard on 150 km of slopes and we could use over 90 ski lifts. The slopes were very well prepared and everybody could find there a place for them: not only beginners who need big and wide, flat fields, but also the most experienced skiers, who could chose Canalino, a very difficult slope, or the one number 18, which led though the forest over an abyss. I tried almost every mountainside, even the most distant from our base. Daily, we made from 30 to 80 km, and we haven’t even seen the rest of the complex: the other mountain on the other side of the valley.

The gold advise was to... keep a map always with you. And ever then it was quite simple to get lost – what I did, of course. Fortunately, I found my friends and then we bought the biggest pizza that I have ever seen . It was delicious. If we are already talking about food, we had an opportunity to participate – absolutely by chance – in a party made by Ballardini family who have been leading their shelter for 50 years. They were giving up Prosecco and they made a beautiful, huge, and very tasty cake, which was also for free. Everything was happening in the atmosphere created by a radio speaker of the radio Studio Più. Unexpectedly, we spent most of our day in that shelter J
